This Foucault Pendulum hangs from the ceiling of the Oregon Convention Center. The pendulum swings and rotates related to the angle and spin of the earth. It takes approximately 32 hours to make an entire 360 degree journey. Amazingly enough, according to Seattle Astronomy news, this is the World's Largest Foucault Pendulum (which I didn't know until I researched for this post). How very cool!!
