We went to a fundraiser last night for to raise money for SAWERA - an organization that helps women (from South Asia, living in the Portland area) who are victims of domestic violence. The event was held at the Governor Hotel - a beautiful historic hotel on the west side of downtown Portland. Here a sitar player performs on the stage in the Heritage Ballroom during the silent auction.
