Yes, I admit there are a lot of cars in Portland - really a whole lot more than I expected. BUT.... it is amazing how many people get from here to there using methods other than driving. This quick shot out of my car window makes this point perfectly, I think. Bus, bike, skateboard and pedestrians. In one moment, on one corner. And, the neat thing is that this is the norm on Portland streets!!
